Turn a drawing into a hand-carved printing block. Emmakate will guide students through developing a design, transferring it to linoleum, carving safely, rolling ink, and pulling a print by hand. Take home both the finished prints and the carved block so you can keep experimenting.

Attendees Should Bring: A drawing or design idea, if you have one, and clothes that can get messy. Ready-made designs will also be available. Supplies provided.
Teacher: Emmakate Sprenkle earned a BFA with a focus in printmaking from Arcadia University. Inspired by nostalgia, nature, and books, she maintains an active printmaking practice and has exhibited work in galleries across Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Missouri, and Washington, DC.
